ARTIST STATEMENT

In sharing her greatest joy, of “creating something of beauty and passing it on”, Vicki’s art has been an evolving journey. While studying classical realism with John Yeager in New York, she was inspired to focus on paintings in miniature. This concentration has been rewarding both personally and professionally.

The prestigious, invitation only, Miniature Artists of America recognized her in 2012 as a Signature Member, with one of her entries in the national competition going on to the World Federation International show in Moscow, Russia. From local, national and international exhibitions, she has been awarded for her artistic proficiency and capturing the delicate essence and
spirit of miniaturism

 Although her concentration has been in miniatures, the canvas size of her endeavors has had a wide range throughout her 20 year career. No matter the dimensions, Vicki’s command of meticulous detail and a keen eye for color and scale are evident in all her artistic efforts. With her work, the viewer is drawn in to examine her sharply focused talent. Her paintings can be found in corporate collections on both coasts, South America and Australia.
