New Bern ArtWorks Fine Art Gallery Congratulates Gallery Artist Holly Bradley: Named Art Educator of the Year.
North Carolina Art Education Association named Holly Bradley as Secondary High School Art Educator of the year 2012-2013.
Tell Me Another Story….
In the last few years the tempo of life has increased to a frenetic pace while trying to balance my profession of being an Art teacher and nurturing my two young children. I found myself motivating my students to create during the day and in the evening digging down deep to find enough energy to provide for my family. I was left feeling my own need to create so that I could continue to evolve as a teacher and an artist. These sculptures are part of a new series titled, "Tell Me Another Story". They capture representations of whimsical characters from my life melded with storybooks and dreams. My Art is inspired by life with my children, from the books we snuggle up together and read, to our bedtime rituals. “Tell Me Another Story”, are words quietly spoken by a small voice after a long day.
