About Our Artists and Our Artwork
New Bern Artworks & Company Gallery and Studio is located in historic New Bern, North Carolina. It is a stimulating place where professional artists with varied backgrounds and experience in many different media, work and exhibit original signed art.
Founder Martha Williams' initial vision was for a gallery/studio, where artists would come together and share ideas. In order to unite the diverse range of artistic styles Martha developed the concept of art being created in or on wooden boxes. Today the concept continues to provide a challenge to our artists and the results are versitile creations designed to be displayed individually or in groupings, hang on walls, sit on desks, or be stacked on shelves.
As the gallery evolves, Martha's vision remains unchanged. Today most of the art work has direct ties to the box concept but also includes paintings with wrap around painted sides, box-framed art, traditional framed pieces and three-dimensional art.
Artworks has an inventory of unfinished wooden boxes in a variety of sizes available for purchase.
